Pacific Ergonomics has specified circle office cubicles for over two decades, and it’s one of the largest dealers for unique and innovative modern office cubicles in the country. Circular shaped cubicles solve a problem straight-line systems can’t: they soften an open floor plan and wrap the desk around the user instead of running off to one side. Whether the layout calls for a full circle station, a half circle, or a semi-circle configuration, the curve does the same job.
A circular desk removes the boxed-in feeling of a traditional cubicle while keeping the same personal workspace. Whether it’s a full circle, half circle, or semi-circle shape, the curve wraps around the user and gives more usable surface area than a straight desk in the same footprint.
Circle cubicle layouts fit more workstations into the same floor area than a standard grid, without feeling cramped. A semi-circle or half circle configuration works especially well along a wall or window line, where a full circle station wouldn’t fit. They also pair well with sit-stand desks, so employees can switch positions through the day.
Curved panels on a circular, half circle, or semi-circle station break up sound paths better than straight ones. PET acoustic panels at seated head height cut cross-talk further. Higher panels add privacy for focused work; lower panels keep sightlines open for collaboration.
Drawers, shelving, and overhead bins keep the desk surface clear, specified per team rather than off a fixed list.
An open, welcoming shape. Round layouts soften a floor plan that would otherwise be all straight edges and hard angles. Employees notice the difference the moment they sit down, and visitors do too.
One continuous work surface. Without corner breaks, the desk stays open and usable across its full length. Employees have more room for monitors, files, and personal items, and less need to get up and hunt for things mid-task.
Sit-stand ready. We build these cubicles with optional height-adjustable desks, so employees can switch between sitting and standing through the day. That kind of movement cuts down on the back pain and fatigue that come with sitting still for hours.
Round cubicles cluster naturally without the wasted gap space rectangular desks leave at their corners. That makes them a strong fit for open floor plans where you want more workstations without a cramped feel. Because there’s no fixed “front” or “back” to a curved desk, layouts stay flexible as teams grow or reorganize.
Shared curved walls between stations create natural collaboration zones without stripping away personal space. Employees can turn and talk to a neighbor or refocus on their own screen without feeling boxed in either way.
We offer these cubicles at 49″ for a low, open feel, or 69″ where more visual privacy is the priority. PET acoustic panels can be added at speech level to cut down on sound transfer and cross-talk, which matters more in round layouts since employees aren’t lined up facing the same direction the way they are in a traditional row.
These can be standalone workstations, or networked together.
We start every project with a conversation about your space, your team, and what you’re trying to fix. From there we handle design, procurement, and installation as one process, so you’re not managing separate vendors for furniture and labor. Check out our modern office cubicles.
