We’ve designed and installed clean room laboratory furniture for pharmaceutical, biotech, and electronics labs across Southern California and the U.S., from ISO 7 pharmaceutical environments to ISO 1 electropolished stainless steel setups for nanotechnology applications. The furniture decision in a clean room isn’t just about what fits the space. It’s about what meets the ISO rating, survives the cleaning protocols, and keeps technicians comfortable through long shifts in a cold, controlled environment. Here’s what to think through before specifying clean room furniture, and how we help.
These are the questions we work through with every clean room client before a single product gets selected:
Pass-through chambers. Do you have the right clean room pass-through chambers so technicians aren’t re-gowning every time materials need to move between spaces? Which side of the chamber locks, or does it lock on both sides?
ISO rating. What ISO class does your clean room need to meet? That determines which benching surfaces, storage options, and seating are actually compliant for your environment.
Gowning area. Do you have the right size and type of gowning benches and gown storage units for your entry protocol?
Handsfree sink. Is your sink handsfree? Technicians shouldn’t have to touch a lever after washing their hands before entering a controlled environment.
Temperature. Clean rooms are often cold. What strategy do you have in place to keep employees comfortable during long shifts?
Seating. Do you have clean room chairs that are the right height, ergonomically supportive, easy to clean, and rated for your ISO class? Our team can help design a complete clean room seating solution that meets your ISO goals and keeps employees comfortable enough to stay productive.
ISO 5 is one of the most common clean room classifications, used often in pharmaceutical applications. ISO 7 is specified when a lower level of sterility control is needed. Both can use clean room laminates and stainless steel surfaces to meet the standard.
Many tech labs also carry clean room requirements to prevent dust and particles from affecting equipment integrity. The furniture in those environments needs to meet the same surface and cleanability requirements as a pharmaceutical lab, even if the application is different.
ISO 1 clean rooms are less common but do exist. These are the most sensitive environments, typically in life sciences and electronics work involving nanotechnology or super-fine particulate processing. Electropolished stainless steel tables and shelving are required at this level.
We’re located in the Historic District of Escondido on Grand Avenue in San Diego County. Our office and laboratory showroom functions as a working design space where clients can collaborate on clean room layouts while seeing and touching the actual furniture options available.
We specialize in clean room laboratory projects throughout Southern California, including San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles. Our services cover the full project from initial needs assessment and CAD layout through ergonomic review and installation, for both office and laboratory furniture in a single engagement.

That depends on your application. Pharmaceutical labs typically use ISO 5. Lower-sterility environments often use ISO 7. Tech and electronics labs vary. We help you confirm the right classification before specifying any furniture.
ISO 5 and 7 environments commonly use clean room laminates and stainless steel. ISO 1 environments require electropolished stainless steel. The surface choice depends on the ISO class and the cleaning protocols your lab uses.
Yes. We handle needs assessment, CAD layout, ergonomic review, procurement, and installation. You don’t need to coordinate multiple vendors.
Yes. We work with labs throughout Southern California, including Orange County, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara, and we can procure and install anywhere in California.
Clean room chairs need to meet the ISO rating of the environment, which means specific materials that don’t shed particles, surfaces that hold up to disinfectant cleaning, and a design that doesn’t trap contamination. Standard lab chairs typically don’t meet those requirements.
If your team is currently re-gowning every time materials need to move between clean room zones, a pass-through chamber is worth evaluating. We help determine the right size, configuration, and locking strategy for your workflow.
