Honeycomb Cubicles

Honeycomb Cubicles are 55″ acoustic fabric workstations available in a wide range of colors, so panels can be coordinated with any office design or brand palette. These designer cubicles are ideal for companies that want to add color and personality to the office and create a sophisticated aesthetic. The soft, curved fabric panels help absorb sound from nearby workstations, keeping noise from carrying across the open floor. Desks are available static or height adjustable, in TFL, HPL, or veneer wood. The result looks refined and sophisticated, the kind of space that makes employees proud to work there. Pacific Ergonomics specifies, designs, configures, procures and installs the Honeycomb Cubicles all over the U.S., matching panel height, fabric, and desk configuration to how your team actually works.

Description

Honeycomb Cubicles: Acoustic Workstation System

Add color, softness, and real acoustic control to your open office. Available static or height adjustable, in clusters from two to eight people.

Honeycomb Cubicles take their name from the hexagonal shape they create in a floor plan. Workstations connect edge to edge, so a cluster moves through a room the way a real honeycomb does, not a stiff grid of straight rows.

The panels are soft and rounded, with a compound curve instead of a flat wall. At 55″ tall, they give enough visual and sound privacy to help someone focus, without closing off the room or blocking light. The panels sit slightly elevated rather than running to the floor, so air moves through the workstation more freely. That helps with air quality and keeps heat from building up around monitors and equipment.

Honeycomb Cubicles work as open or closed collaborative zones, small meeting spots, lounge-style seating, or individual desking. Sitting, standing, or height adjustable, depending on how your team actually works.

The collection this system is built on won Best of Competition and NeoCon Gold in the Furniture Systems & Enhancements category at Best of NeoCon, designed by Christopher Wright and Mark Müller.

Why Choose Honeycomb Cubicles

  • Adds color to a space. Panel fabric comes from eight pre-approved manufacturers, so a room picks up real color and texture instead of staying neutral.
  • Softens a space. Compound curved panels replace the hard edges and flat walls of a traditional cubicle.
  • Acoustic by design. The panel fabric is chosen for sound absorption, not just looks, so open-plan noise gets real control.
  • Panels move with the person. On the height adjustable option, the panel is built into the desk frame, so it rises and lowers with the user instead of staying fixed to one height.
  • Clean and seamless. No visible add-on brackets or bolted-together look. The frame and panel read as one system.
  • Lower panels except when you need them. At sitting height the panel sits low and open. Stand up, and it rises to give you privacy in that moment, without permanently walling off the space.

Static or Height Adjustable

Fixed Height

Keeps the panel at a constant height on a static frame. A straightforward, lower-cost option for teams who don’t need the desk surface to move.

Height Adjustable

Mounts the panel directly to the height-adjustable desk frame, not a separate mechanism. At sitting height, the workstation sits lower to the floor. When the frame rises to standing height, the panel rises with it. The panel stays 55″ tall. What changes is where that 55″ sits relative to the floor.

Fabric and Color Options

Panels ship in fabric from eight pre-approved manufacturers, giving you real color and texture choice without stepping outside tested, acoustic-rated materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is a Honeycomb Cubicle?

A Honeycomb Cubicle is a hexagonal workstation. Individual workstations connect edge to edge to form a honeycomb-style layout, giving each person a defined, softly enclosed workspace inside an open office. A modern alternative for a cubicle that doesn't look like a cubicle.

Can you configure the Honeycomb desks to be Height Adjustable?

Yes, in a height adjustable configuration where the panel mounts directly to the sit-stand desk frame. There is also a panel that can be added that rises while the employee is standing to create privacy and help with acoustics. Then when they sit down it collapses back into the cubicle for a seamless aesthetic. A fixed height option is also available for teams who don't need that feature.

How does Pacific Ergonomics help with a Honeycomb cubicle project?

The first step is we understand your goals and determine if the honeycomb will be a good fit for your needs. Then we spaceplan. The product is very flexible with many options. We simplify so you get exactly what you need with choices of design concept along the way. Then we procurement, fulfill, deliver and install anywhere in the U.S.
