Monitor Placement and Guest Sightlines
A desk with guest chairs across from it needs the monitor placed so it doesn’t block the view between the two people in the room. The back of a monitor sitting at eye level reads as a wall, not a workspace, and it changes the tone of a meeting before anyone says a word. Getting this right is one of the first things we check during space planning, before any desk is ordered.
Sit-Stand Height Without the Awkward Setup
Height-adjustable desks let someone move between sitting and standing throughout the day, which matters over a full workday of desk work. The tricky part comes when a desk is raised to standing height while guest chairs stay at a normal seated height. That mismatch creates an uneven, uncomfortable dynamic for a guest looking up at someone standing over a desk. Planning the desk and seating together avoids that problem entirely.

Modern office desks come in a range of laminates and finishes, so the desk can match the rest of the office rather than standing apart from it. This matters as much for a full private office build-out as it does for a single desk replacement.
Desks for Smaller Spaces
Not every office has room for a full-size executive desk. A compact standing desk works well in a smaller private office or a shared space where a full-height-adjustable desk wouldn’t fit.
