Built for Static Control From the Ground Up
Every part of the Nexxit is a link in the discharge path. The plastics are volume conductive. The steel parts carry a conductive coating. Charge moves from the operator through the seating surface, frame, and casters into your grounded floor with a typical discharge resistance of 1 megohm.
That exceeds the ESD requirements of DIN EN 61340-5-1 and sits well within the seating limits that ESD control plans built on ANSI/ESD S20.20 specify. There is no drag chain to snag, wear, or forget. The stool itself is the ground path.
Why an ESD Stool Instead of an ESD Chair
The seat adjusts from 22.4″ to 32.3″, which puts operators at bench and counter height where a desk-height chair cannot reach. The height-adjustable chrome foot ring supports the feet when the floor cannot. That matters at stations where operators perch between tasks, pivot between benches, or share a seat across shifts.

Active Sitting at Bench Height
The synchronous mechanism connects the seat and backrest so both follow the operator through reaches, pivots, and position changes. Core and back muscles stay engaged instead of loading statically through a full shift. Three backrest presets let each operator set the ideal operating range for the task, and the back locks when the work calls for fixed support.
Automatic weight adjustment matters in multi-shift ESD areas. The mechanism self-calibrates to each operator’s body weight. Second shift sits down and the resistance is already set. No manual adjustment between users, no one riding a stool tuned for someone else.
Forward Tilt for Assembly and Inspection Work
Soldering, PCB rework, and inspection under magnification are forward-leaning tasks. On a flat seat, that posture pulls the lower back into flexion for hours. The seat pan tilts forward up to 6 degrees, so the pelvis stays neutral and body weight moves toward the work instead of fighting it.

The backrest adjusts 2.4″ up or down so lumbar support lands where it should for each operator, not at a fixed point built for average heights.

Every function runs from the operating lever while seated. Operators actually use adjustments they can reach mid-task.
A Seating Surface Built for ESD Areas
The black ESD artificial leather seating surface is PVC free, soft under the operator, and wipes down fast. It is hard wearing and resistant to oils and all commercially available disinfectants. The closed surface does not trap solder debris or shop dust, so cleaning stays quick between shifts.
Two options change how the stool works day to day. The optional black handle on the backrest lets operators reposition the stool without grabbing the seating surface. The optional 4D arms adjust in height, width, and depth and pivot in or out 45 degrees, so they support the forearms during fine work and swing clear when the task needs open reach.

Does an ESD stool ground the operator or just itself?
Both, as one path. Charge moves from the operator through the seating surface, the conductive plastics and coated steel, and the casters into your grounded floor. Do the casters break the ground path?
No. The casters on this configuration are conductive and complete the path to the floor. At stool heights above 25.6″, DIN 68877 requires casters that lock under load, which is exactly what the Stop and Go casters do. They lock when someone sits and roll freely when the stool is empty.
Do I need arms on an ESD stool?
It depends on the task. For close soldering and reach-heavy assembly, many operators work better without arms. The optional 4D arms adjust in height, width, and depth and pivot out of the way, so they support the forearms during fine work without blocking reach.
